And you're correct in guessing that my exposure to his musical output is limited, though I have enjoyed the work in that department featured in both <em>Rubber</em> and <em>Wrong</em>. Not to beat this dichotomy to death even further, but I found the craft elements of <em>Silver Linings Playbook</em> -- including the cutting, which isn't anything special -- to be more than a few notches below <em>The Fighter</em>. The one scene I disliked with a passion was the flashback to the violent encounter in the shower. I really had an averse reaction to how Russell spliced that moment together -- it felt like such a cheap way for him to get the viewers to go, "Oh, wow, this guy's past is so <em>troubled</em>!"
