Zack Snyder fan or not, you almost have to be down, on some level, with his helming of Man of Steel, because you know at the very least he’s going to bring a singular visual style to the summer-blockbuster arena. And the melodious opening frames of this Yahoo teaser do indeed confirm that, even if it has no resemblance to the dizzying overtness of Synder’s previous work — it looks more like it was shot by Emmanuel Lubezki (The Tree of Life) or, more recently, Ben Richardson (Beasts of the Southern Wild). But those are lofty conclusions, seeing as how there’s hardly a minute of footage here, so we’ll have to be patient in preparing for the June 14, 2013 release. A quick note on the trailer’s voice-over — over at MSN, there’s a Russell Crowe version, though seeing as how I watched Oliver Stone’s amazing JFK yesterday, I’m in more of a Kevin Costner mood.
