Now that Ben Lewin’s The Sessions has finally figured out its title — the Sundance prizewinner was screened at the festival as The Surrogate and was then changed to Six Sessions before settling on its now-final moniker — it’s been given a rich Apple trailer to go along with it. Word from the very beginning has been that John Hawkes, after giving stealthily cunning turns in Winter’s Bone (his only Oscar nomination to date) and Martha Marcy May Marlene, will contend for the Best Actor Oscar for his performance as a polio-stricken aspiring to lose his virginity. His object of desire: Helen Hunt’s sex therapist. Fox Searchlight will start spooling the film out on October 26. Embed after the cut.
