Apple has posted the trailer for the indie psycho-thriller The Good Doctor, which has me moderately intrigued due to the slithery lead presence of Orlando Bloom, who, as we all know, is rarely seen in small-scale productions wearing normal, everyday clothing. He looks to have a nice handle on his character here, who takes a rather unusual liking to one of his patients (played by Riley Keough). I’m worried that this may come off as a B-level ripoff of Mark Romanek’s truly chilling One Hour Photo, but it does have Lance Daly behind the camera, who’s coming off his very nicely received Kisses. Magnolia Pictures will serve up The Good Doctor on August 31. Embed after the cut.
