Get past the first 30 seconds of this Apple trailer for Tim Burton’s Dark Shadows and there’s a cool satiric playfulness to be found that could make the film something of a unique surprise. It certainly wasn’t what I was expecting, and, because of that, I find my initial trepidation regarding this project beginning to soften. The preview also has a handful of looks at supporting roles that are easy to get excited about. Chloe Grace Moretz appears to be having with fun with a laid-back vibe, while the same could be said about Helena Bonham Carter. The film is set for a May 11 release. Embed after the cut.
