Speaking of sublime posters for Weinstein Company products, THR has also dropped the classy domestic one-sheet for Michel Hazanavicius’ The Artist. The throwback “silent film” — there is a musical score, courtesy of Ludovic Bource — burst onto the scene at this year’s Cannes Film Festival and has yet to look back. In its current state, The Artist is positioned nicely as an Oscar frontrunner, and if all goes well with the domestic release beginning on November 23, Harvey Weinstein should be able to close the deal and rake in a hefty amount of nominations for this supposed charmer.
