Tom McCarthy’s Win Win looks absolutely terrific. It’s the writer-director’s follow-up to The Visitor — which earned Richard Jenkins a Best Actor nomination — and it appears to have more of a comedic beat to it. Nevertheless, there are clearly dramatic dynamics involved, particularly involving the Melanie Lynskey (Up in the Air) character — it should be interesting to see her atypically explore a darker character. Amy Ryan, Jeffery Tambor, Alex Shaffer, and Burt Young round out the supporting cast, and Paul Giamatti (Barney’s Version) will be in the lead. Look for this one to hit theaters on March 18.
